This subclass covers inorganic radiation-sensitive semiconductor devices insofar as these devices are specially adapted for:[2025.01]the conversion of the radiation energy into electrical energy; orthe control of electrical energy by such radiation. In this subclass, “infrared radiation” includes wavelengths between about 700 nm and about 1 mm.In this subclass, the periodic system used is the I to VIII Group system indicated in the Periodic Table under Note (3) of section C.
