Note(s) In this group, the following expression is used with the meaning indicated:[2020.01] "rare earth metals" means elements from the group of the lanthanides as well as scandium or yttrium, taken alone or in combination. When classifying a compound in groups C01F 17/20-C01F 17/38, then its specific preparation or treatment must also be classified in groups C01F 17/10-C01F 17/17 as long as the compound is characterised by its preparation or treatment, and vice versa.
